Lorraine and Chris have found the perfect chalet to open and operate the coveted Chalet Loris here at the famous and long established Mont Blanc Lodge, a beautiful 200 year old former farmhouse recently renovated in traditional style, located right in the heart of Chamonix town centre, opposite the main train station giving you super easy access to all that is ski and après ski in Chamonix!
The chalet itself has recently been sympathetically renovated to retain many of the original and traditional Savoyard features alongside plush modern interiors providing up to date facilities and the perfect hideaway for a relaxing catered chalet ski holiday, whilst right on the doorstep sits all the atmosphere of this world famous Alpine town
6 en-suite bedrooms and open plan dining and living room with cosy log fire accommodates individuals, couples, families and groups of between 1-16 people to sleep, dine, and relax in comfort and warmth.
Guests will also have access to a safe equipment locker, boot and glove warming, sauna room and parking available for a car.
Modern bathrooms housing powerful double headed showers with plenty of hot water plus a sauna room to soothe you at the end of a hard day on the mountain, whilst a large projector TV, UK Sky TV, DVD'S, books and games are on hand to help you unwind should you desire a relaxing... or active night in.
Large balconies are available from a number of the rooms, allowing you to absorb some of the town atmosphere, catch some rays, and survey the stunning panorama of Chamonix Mont Blanc and the nearby mountain peaks! Each bedroom is named named after the mountain or ski area views they benefit from.

This beautiful town has been a premier winter resort since the late 1800’s and is filled to the brim with historic French buildings and monuments. The river Arve runs right through the heart direct from the glaciers; and it is hard to find a part of town where you can’t see spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks.
Chamonix is one of the world’s most famous winter and summer mountain sports resorts, offering something for everyone, even those who don’t like getting cold and wet or break a sweat! Whether you want to chill out or be active, Chamonix has it all!
Chamonix has so much skiing and is the like the axis or hub of French, Italian and Swiss resorts and thus is not a limited ski to door town, the town is much larger than normal ski resorts, and is integral within all the ski areas.
Most people stay in the town to take advantage of the many shops, bars and restaurants there and luckily we are in the midst of them all. Some might choose to use the ski bus service (free with your pass), BUT our guests take our private courtesy shuttle to the slopes and home again to access the ski areas.
The closest lift with children's ski school is Plannards an 8 minute walk whilst Savoy ski school area is about 15 minutes walk and Le Brevent (linked to Flegere) is just 5 mins on the chalet shuttle bus. Next is Les Grands Montets at 10-15 min on the bus, and then La Tour/Balme and Les Houches which are both just 15 min away on the shuttle. Aguille du Midi and the Vallee Blanche are accessed by the lift 5 minutes walk away.
Courmayeur in Italy is only 7.3 miles away through the Mont Blanc Tunnel and alongwith Verbier Switzerland, both are included witin the Unlimited Mont Blanc ski pass and both are included as optional ski shuttle trips with our private inhouse ski shuttle minibus that takes you to the slopes each day. NO NEED FOR THE SKI BUS!

In the heart of Chamonix is where this 200 year old former farmhouse is located.Traditionally styled and tastefully refurbished and enveloped by the magnificent mountains viewed from all rooms and terraces.
200 years ago it stood in the centre of town and all that became emanated from and around it. Still it remains at the very of Chamonix but retains all its charm and sits like a cocooned secluded haven amongst all that the resort has to offer.

As you enter through the entrance hall you are greeted by the enveloping warmth from our roaring open log fire and the aromas of Lorraines home cooking wafts through the chalet tantalising you and whetting your appetite for the evenings fare.
